The path to love might just be paved with lust and infatuation. At least that’s the premise of “Love, Infatuation or Lust,” a show that opens Saturday at Hardcore Art Contemporary Space in Miami.
The show features works by current and former Florida International University students and faculty members who were asked to visually portray feelings of love, lust and infatuation. “The question we pose is if there is a clear difference,” the show’s curator Rochi Llaneza explains in her statement about the show. “It’s an experiment. The visual expression of these emotions is the goal.”
The exhibition will include works by Angelica Clyman, Ingrid Eliasson & Jennifer Basile, Donna Torres (whose work, “Sharing Time, Finding Meaning,” is pictured here), Tamara Hervera, Gretchen Scharnagl, Maria Lino, Natasha Duwin, Jules Lusson, Luisa Mesa, Vanessa Monokian and others.
The show opens 7 p.m. Saturday and runs through April 4 at Hardcore Art, 3326 N. Miami Ave., Miami. Call 305-576-1645 or Hardcoreartmiami.com. Click through the accompanying slide show to preview some of the works and read what the artists had to say about them
