Mermaids, a giant squid, zombie parrots and pirates will be on display at Out to Sea, the latest in With A Side of Art monthly events at Howley’s, a ’50s-style diner in West Palm Beach. The group show, curated by Stitch Rock founder Amanda Linton, opens 8 p.m. Tuesday with works by Amanda Valdes, Jason Nugent, Craig McInnis, Emmanuel Jacas, HumbleBumbleB (whose art is pictured here), JR Linton, Lea Vendetta, Polly Peachums, Scott White, Jamnea Jacas-Finlayson and others
It’s a diner, so arrive hungry and enjoy music by Keith Michaud, a Lake Worth singer-songwriter who has plenty of pirate songs in his repertoire. Go listen to “A Pirates Life” on his MySpace just to get in the groove.
The fun starts at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Howley’s, 4700 S. Dixie Highway, in West Palm Beach.
Will add a preview of some works from the show tonight if our photo gallery is working by then.
